Autumn is upon us and that means beautiful fall foliage, warm sweaters, and fall camping! Fall is one of the best times to get out and explore the great outdoors. With the rush of families and tourists now back home for the school year, Autumn provides a serene time to enjoy Mother Nature in all her glory.
Just take a moment to picture yourself, packing up the car after a long week at the office, filling it with sleeping bags, a tent, and all the fixings for s'mores. Once you put everything on hold for a weekend and allow yourself some quality time with Mother Nature, you’ll wonder why you don’t go camping more often.
In case you’re new to camp life, or just need some inspo for your next getaway, below are our tips and tricks to making any camping trip a success!
- Pack extra blankets, you’ll always find a use for them
- First thing’s first, build that fire!
- Always a good idea to plan your meals ahead of time
- Spiked warm cider on a cold October night. ‘Nuf said.
- Headlamps are your best friend
- Pack a tarp, you just never know
If you couldn’t tell, the changing of the leaves, the dropping of temperatures, and the moody weather all call for a weekend trip to the woods, at least in our book! We highly encourage you to mix things up this fall and schedule a weekend filled with quality outdoor time. You’ll be thanking us for encouraging you once you’ve got that cider in hand, sitting by the fire.
